Considering
the significance of value-based education, the College
conducts Value Education classes on every Thursday.
Hence the students are encouraged to attend the Value
Education classes without fail.
There
is a Unit of the N.C.C. in the College. Both men and
women students can seek admission to the unit. Besides
imparting a sense of discipline, it helps students to
take up career in defence services. A successful completion
of the N.C.C. training will be an additional qualification
for getting admission for higher studies and for securing
jobs.
The
College has a unit of the National Service Scheme, which
aims at training members in the spirit of service and
at nation building, after the example of the Father
of the Nation. Students are encouraged to take up membership
and benefit from the opportunities offered by the N.S.S.
Physical
education is part of the General education programme.
The college offers facilities to students who are keen
on developing their potentialities in sports and games
and thereby developing the qualities of sportsmanship,
team spirit and physique. All students of the college
are expected to take part in the Annual Sports and Games
Meet. .
The
University will award grace marks to those who distinguish
themselves in sports and games; a number of scholarships
are awarded to students on the basis of their performances
in sports and games.
It was instituted by the staff and the well - wishers
of the college on 7th February 2002 in honour of our
patron His Excellency Mar George Punnakottil, on the
occasion of His Excellency's Episcopal Silver Jubilee.
A sum of Rupees two lakhs was collected as endowment
to conduct lectures with a view to fostering genuine
academic discussion on various topics; the interest
is utilized for the same every year.

The
PTA in the college functions smoothly. It encourages
the participation and co-operation of the parents and
teachers in the welfare of the students of the college.
