The
department of physical education of the college
has been performing exceptionally well by producing
national and state level sports persons. The students
of the region do not have any other sports exposure
and hence, the department is trying its level best
to cater the needs, in spite of the location and
financial disadvantages. Considering the past performance
and the sports potentials of the district, the University
Grants Commission has sanctioned a course recently,
on Yoga and Physical Education.

Sports
and games facilities
The
college has a good playground which is used for
Football, Cricket, Kho- Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball,
Basket ball and Athletics. Facilities for indoor
games like wrestling, weightlifting, Table tennis
and Chess are available in the college. A well equipped
gymnasium is another important facility of the department.
